Yea would not want to be sticking a 75mm turbine back on it if I can avoid it.

Looks like comp has a 82/80 in their new turbine that they use in the standard t4 s cover size. They list a 78/80 and it’s not the crappy old 79 turbine they did have years ago. I’ve just not seen any results on these. Other edits to 75mm wheels used are pte has the gen 2 and vs seems to be using the g42 turbine.

Once you get close to 800whp the 75mm turbine is just hard to get around, sure you can lean on them and get a little more but its more beneficial to get a larger turbo.
I didn't realize the OP was already running a PTE turbo???
If that's the case I haven't read of anyone making any gains going to the VS Next Gen billet, if anything its on par or less than the a PTE unit.
Sounds like the op needs to start saving his nickels and dimes for a T6 or twin turbo kit.

It is! Even an 88/96 turbine is too small for optimal results. You can get a flange adapter for cheap (or weld a new one on) to open up your turbo choices.
He was asking to upgrade a old unit and keep something that is sort of the same footprint. Going to a VSR turbo of the same size is a down grade. Thats why I suggested the FI S476. It will be a upgrade and be a little bigger.

I get that, but I'd run the 1.25 T4 housing at least.
