87 octane and boost

So what octane level does 60% water/ 40% meth come up to?. Also does tht much water corrode the engine in any way?

This^ especially when its a single 5GPH nozzle, that's barely enough to even bother saying you have meth as the percentage of fueling is too low to matter and then he's hoping that tiny percentage is distributed evenly.

If he intends to use crap fuel, he needs a bigger nozzle which increases the use of $10/gal fuel or whatever meth is these days.

Depends on how much you're spraying.
At 600 HP, you're using about 50 GPH of gasoline.
A 5 GPH nozzle would be 10%.

Going by tests conducted to measure RON be adding water injection to different fuels, you're looking at probably ~2 RON. Far cry from 20 octane.
Spraying 100% pure methanol onto 87 octane through that same nozzle would get roughly that same ~2 octane gain, as its 23 octane points higher than 87 octane gasoline, but you're only spraying it at 10%.

I picked a number that made the math for a 5 GPH nozzle the easiest.

Yea, i'd hope so too. maybe if i disconnect a plug wire or two it'll make 600..lol

I put gas in it the other day, too scared to try 87. I'm focused on trying to dial things in to get better fuel mileage right now. If I cant up that by a noticeable amount, 87 it will be. I've had lean cruise disabled and dfco not coming in. I'm trying to dial in my lean cruise afr, if i can get it to cooperate and stay around 16.5:1, my instant mileage jumps from 21.7 to 24.5mpg just leaning it out. But it starts to creep over 17:1 and it loses mpg from making less tq....Its a balancing act. Then if I get dfco activating correctly (its getting close) it'll pick up more. I'm averaging 16-20mpg right now but I know its got more in it.

I plan on changing the nozzle out to a 10gph nozzle. I run washer fluid and a bottle of heet....so its cheap to fill that up. I dont think the cost and use of that will ever surpass the cost of premium fuel.....I dont beat on it that much. Usually when i drive to work, 99.9% of the time, I do not floor it even once on the way there. I really dont feel like messing with breaking something on the way and end up being late for work.
