Default 6.0 Boosted Build - LS3 Intake Porting and Rods

Building a 6.0 as a long term project. Not in any hurry. Going in 66 Chevelle street car. I'm currently messing around with an LS3 intake that I got for cheap. Cut the pillars out, will be matching ports to CNC LS3 heads, haven't decided in TB size yet but will match opening to TB if needed, installing rods to improve air flow.

Never messed with a stock intake with boost. Is there anything else that can or should be done or modified? What ports are used and not used? What is the likelihood of the intake cracking under boost?

Still gathering parts but here is the build plan. Will gladly accept any and all advice, good or bad. Always looking for good deals on parts.

The ls3 is a bad *** intake out of the box. May find some porting threads on the na forum. The ls3 intake has been pushed to 1300hp completely stock so most wouldn't bother for a FI build.

Didn't figure it would matter porting, removing pillars, and doing radius rods for a boosted build. But, I started doing this when I thought I was going NA. Bought a turbo so plans changed.

Got to thinking. Would the rod mod even matter on FI?

I doubt it. The only real way to know would be to establish a baseline with a stock intake. Then do that mod and compare. Right?

You are correct. Not gonna waste my time with he radius rods. It might make an improvement off idle. But, I doubt it will matter much once boost comes on.
