Valve has been very good to me. No complaints. This thing is almost 10 years old at this point - it owes me nothing and I recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable bypass. I had a spare laying around that I put on.
I've been chasing a boost problem on my car for quite some time that I was convinced was belt slip. The car just would not go past 10 psi. Turned out to be a failed diaphragm in my ATI Race bypass.
Was pretty tough to find - the diaphragm actually looks fine until you put it up to the light. I only found it because I started pressure testing everything on the car.
A couple questions:
- Does anyone know if ATI sells rebuild parts for these things?
- Is the race bypass pressure-assist close? In short, if the diaphragm leaks is the spring strong enough to hold it closed against pressure - it didn't seem like it, but figured I would ask.
My procharger truck did same thing after about 8 years. Call em up and they'll sell you a rebuild kit, can't remember the price but it was very reasonable.
