turbo/SC early planning So I have a 96 impala, which is pretty damn heavy, with a 408 ls2, has forged callies crank/rods, forged weisco pistons, arp studs, BTR TFS 245 cc heads/LS3 stage 4 cam, 92mm fast, etc etc sitting at about 10.5:1 compression ratio. not quite happy with the numbers its made on the dyno recently. but never figured I would be, as I was building with boost in mind for the future. I do alot of cruising/around town romping/highway pulls etc, but when racing mainly I'm doing auto X and road course events. I keep him hawing about SC vs turbo. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to turbo setups, I know the basics etc, but no where near enough to know what size of X to run. I'd like to turbo it, if nothing else for the cost difference between that and SC setups. that being said, I'm worried about lag and on/off/on scenarios with auto X. so in summary, big heavy car, lots of fast rpm changes, fast turbo, or cheap as I can find it(most likely LSA) SC setups. thoughts, parts lists, suggestions?
