L33 main discoloration.

My l33 mains have discoloration. See attached photos. Junkyard motor with so so oil pressure…. Is it on its way out ? Rod bearings look perfect

I agree other than the rings are probably packed full of sludge. Some guys take them apart, clean and reassemble, some guys run it. If you have already had all the caps off, may as well clean them and reassemble IMO. Just be careful on disassemble of the rings.

Pull mains and look at the bearings. Its likely fine. Should clean all the crap outa the ring lands and check gap IMO. Really doesn't take long when its that far apart already.
