4.8 twin turbos
4.8 twin turbos Looking for some advice. Shooting for 800-900 rwhp and still have some fun on the street. 2006 4.8 with 706 heads. Looking at a pair of 60/68 s300 turbos. Probably a btr stage 1 or 2 twin turbo cam. Will be on e85. Th400 with custom ptc converter. I'm worried that it might be laggy, especially on the street.
The only way to keep a 4.8 from being laggy on the street is to use a high stall converter and/or a low rear end gear/and/or a low street weight. Your best bet is a high stall converter and a complete disregard for low rpm torque. Even with a factory pcm you can spin it to 8000rpm, so a 5k stall converter could get you over the hump for a big cam and big turbos. 1khp should be easy, and your obvious disregard for fuel economy will make you the bane of the local HOA.
