Installing a East Coast Supercharger, originally from a c6, going in a square body with a ls3 crate engine. The outlet of the compressor points almost straight down, so has anyone ever disassembled the housing to have the outlet point in a different direction? Are the internals fussy to mess with?
Just slightly loosen the 6-8 allen head bolts that hold the SC volute against the gearbox, clock outlet as needed and re-tighten. Very straightforward. Again only loosen but you may need to remove one or two of the bolts to clock the volute where ya need it and re-install.
I agree with the post above but would add a few things. Its usually easier to clock it with the head unit out of car with the turbine facing up, also sometimes they get a little tight or seem stuck while clocking it, if that happens get a rubber mallet and lightly hit the face at 12:00, 4:00, 6:00, and 9:00. It will usually spin freely but i had this issue with my procharger when i was setting it up. Nice build, i would consider running 2 recirculated bov’s that blower is gonna move a ton of air even at idle and annoy the hell out of you on the highway.
