Default .68 AR to .81 AR

What can I expect to see? Right now at 23 psi boost I am at 47 psi turbine drive pressure with .68 housing. looks like the only other housing that might be available is a .81. Have been trying to get a hold of turbonetics but no luck so far.

Pretty hard to guess, I'd say at least 10 psi off the drive pressure maybe 15 tops. I sent you a PM

Looks like no other AR options are available for these turbos. I can go to a set of 68 with .84 AR but this is only 260 cid. 68's are gonna be pretty big. The headers are not divided but the housings are. I am pretty sure I can remove the divider but not sure how much that would get me. I could switch to some garrets maybe like a g40-900 62 mm because lots of AR housings are available. looking for thoughts and ideas.

I’m shocked it seems so simple. You basically just need the housings like a t4 .81 which is very common, but the issue is the mirror image. It totally seems like something they can do, but if it’s one off none of these larger companies want to mess with it. It’s pretty lame

you need to find housings in mirror image and the shop needs to be able to do a little bit of lathe work. Turbonetics had been **** lately and overworks the reps they have left. They basically don’t want to sell to aftermarket. You could call the guys at pte which is sort of the same, but they can do more custom. I’m just not sure they want to do any custom anymore.

Thanks and I thought the same. I own a machine shop so thats why I thought of removing the divider. I figured any manufacturer that doesn"t have it on the shelve would either need a ton of $ or would not be interested.

I mean if you can find suitable housings maybe you can try to match the profile if you had a large lathe etc. as you said you could try some reduction in the divider and make sure the ports are all aligned. Not sure it will get what you are looking for, but it’s basically free to try.
