Does that mean the Regal found a new home? Great looking Nova!

As long as your both happy, who cares. It's a chassis you're familiar with. So it shouldn't take you long to get a handle on it. Looking forward to the "build" on this one. Maybe more of a fine tuning and personalization.

Thanks. I have to tear down the engine and swap wrist pins. New ones are 25grams heavier so I guess a balance job to.

Very nice looking! Also interested in how that engine/turbo setup performs as I've been staring down the same path. Any previous info before the piston issue?

Why did the previous owner go with the smaller wrist pin?
Lapse in judgement or builder error?

Builder error. It was built by a shop and when he picked up the engine he was told the wrist pin was a std rated at 700 hp. He lost interest after that

SWEET! I had a pretty nice 69 (also mini-tubbed) with a turd of a 383ci small block. I kick myself in the ***, daily, for not keeping it and turning it into a turbo LS powered beast...

Good Luck with it. Look forward to seeing some updates.

Man I had a '69 Nova SS in the early 90s, was a rusty clapped out race car someone put back on the street. Today I'd be restoring that car.

Dang those are some cool cars, there is a real cult following for L78 cars.

The one I had was so crusty the city thought it was abandoned and towed it lol.
