LY6 with D1X power levels
It gets some street miles but rarely seems wot usually since it just spins on the street. The tracks just opened back up here so it will be going as soon as I can make it.
After this where would I go? A built short block but reuse heads then more boost?
It still has leaf springs with Calvert bars mini tubbed with 315 et streets. Id like to see 11s in the 1/4 even with some traction issues.
If you are gaining 15-20whp per psi you’d be doing well for the pulley change + meth. If he has to work for it with the meth (i.e. more timing) just have to walk the line of keeping it hot or back it down. I’d venture to say if you get the 2psi you’ll be close to 700whp. The D1x is a bad *** blower.
Being a Gen 4 and this is a centri setup if the tune is on the conservative side and you always have good gas (meaning best octane available) with your supplemental (meth) it could live a long life.
11’s should be zero issue. Example my TBSS many years ago on a SBE LS2, Novi 2000 blower (around 13psi), LS2 cheater cam (very mild by today’s standards),dyno’d around 670-700whp, 4300lbs. ish went 10.6 @127 on an M&H race master tire. Just an example of a heavy weight division non aerodynamic brick.
