Default Water/meth nozzle in intake?

So I'm about to install my water meth nozzle, I was thinking about tapping the egr block off plate onto of the intake, is there anytbwronh with doing this? I've read before the iat and false reading and to put after iat, but not much about in the intake.

If you put it in vacuum, just make sure you have a good check valve or solenoid.

I did that and I found it didn’t really have a lot of time to mix with the air charge and it made a mess behind the TB. I prefer to get the nozzle out like 3ft from the TB so it can mix before it gets in the engine. I then use the EGR or purge port and drill and smack in a plastic IAT sensor. That way if the IATs get high with the meth on you know it’s not working and can try to help starve off detonation by reducing timing at higher IAT temps. I realize it’s sorta futile as the IAT sensor doesn’t react fast enough to really be beneficial in saving the motor but it does tell me it’s working in the logs. I will start a pull at 100*F IAT and once in boost temps actually drop to 88 or 90s due to the meth and then come back up once it’s off. Also most decent nozzles have internal check valves like AEM,Devils own and SNOW.

That's a good point on the mixing, I had just seen a pic of one done like that and it looked simple, I'll stick to the origin plan of putting it in the cold piping.

The pump has a check valve as well, but I've seen them go bad or get clogged and if your are in VAC it drains the tank quick. Can hydro lock at worst or just drown the engine. IMHO dont' plumb them at a VAC source unless you have more than one failsafe.

Wouldn't any part of the cold side still have vac, the nozzle has a check valve as well as the pump from what i read.

Before the throttle body the only vacuum will be very minimal from filter restriction
