Default Help identifying turbo for 5.3

Hello friends, after many years reading along I have finally joined and am looking forward to learning so much more and getting to know people. In the past month i had a deal come up on a garret 76 turbo that was too good for anyone with 2 semifuntioning braincells to ever pass up on. Was told it was only used for a few passes on a cobra and ive taken a look through it it seems to be in good condition. I'm also blind so maybe I missed something. I plan on building a 5.3 in a silverado backed behind a 4l80e in the future and would also love to know if this is a viable option to run. My hp goal is 600-800whp or honestly whatever this could produce on say 15-20lbs of boost.

Specs on the turbo are as follows: (Please do account for possible errors on my part, this is the first turbo i have had my hands on and mistakes are not beyond me.)

Cold side:
76mm inducer
102mm exducer
A garret 6+6(?) wheel that looks either damaged or needed a lot taken off to balance, has an x and a on the back that makes me think its been worked on.
There are 2 straight scratches on the area around the compressor however if something had actually happened to the compressor under load you would think the teeth on the wheel would be destroyed.and the inside would be pretty beat up no?

Hot side:
75mm inducer
82/83mm exducer

Exhaust housing
t4 flange with dual ports
1.28 ar (From reading i think a .81-.96 would be better suited with a 5.3,I would hope to achieve full boost by 3500-3700rpm. Input on this would be highly appreciated as well)
Has the numbers 448940 on the flange which seems to match up with this ( https://gcg.com.au/products/G757707-0003_item.html )

After a little digging it seems to match up with the gt4202 series of turbo however i have taken it apart and found it to be a roller bearing and not ball bearing like said series. This leads me to believe it is the previous generation however i cannot find much info to say for certain. I would like to take this in to have its condition checked by experienced eyes and see what upgrades could be done but I don't know of anywhere near nashville that does this.

i have pics but am also having trouble uploading them.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, thanks to all for reading,

Check it for shaft play, if it has any more than a little bit have it checked. Most journal bearing turbos have a slight amount, just enough that you can feel it. The oil takes up this space during operation. I've never had a ball bearing turbo in my hands, but have heard they have pretty much no shaft play. If that's OK I would slap it on and run it as is. If it's too laggy you can swapped the housing later. But with the right camshaft and converter it will be fine and reach your goal easily.

Maybe. But I would leave the 1.28 on it and see how it does, it may be perfect or it may be too laggy for ya, only 1 way to know. Are you swapping the camshaft? With the right camshaft and the right converter the 1.28 will spool fine.
