Default 500whp build?

Hello! It's been forever since I've logged in here. I've searched myself in circles, now looking for a bit of advice.

Project vehicle is a sandrail. Engine is a 1999 LS1 5.7. What I am looking for is 500whp (drivetrain constraints) with early boost that revs to 6-6500 and 91 octane with no water/meth. Is this possible? I'm still reading trying build my LS-based FI knowledge. I was all set up build a H/C/I: PRC 220s, 228R, TBSS with NW 92 TB; but then I thought MAYBE I could have more fun for less $$.

What I'm thinking is:
SBE "sloppy" build
heads are 853's that'll get rebuilt and PAC 1218 springs
stock LS1 intake/ TB
Holley Terminator X
Siemens Deka 80lb injectors
Walbro GSL396 fuel pump
Treadstone TRV185 (or similar) intercooler mounted on top of intake with a scoop
Relocate alternator, stock water pump, remote reservoir for PS pump
Speed Engineering turbo headers
Front mount turbo (well rear mount for me really)
and the VSR stuff:
44mm wastegate
50mm BOV
Looking at the 66/73 billet wheel turbo.

This all looks good for current goals, I'm gonna tell you right now you'll be hard pressed to not make more than 500whp.
My last SBE LS1 car had a goal of 550-575whp and was very similar with CNC ported 317 heads, mystery turbo cam and an old Turbonetics 7875 cast wheel turbo.
It ended up making almost 700whp through a six speed on 12 lbs. of boost pump gas only.
Maybe look at the billet VS 7070 turbo and keep it in the 10 lbs. range, it'll still make the rpm, keep the LS1 SBE bottom end alive for a while and give you the performance you're after.
Plus if you want to go for more later a VS billet 7875 should bolt right on and take into the 700+whp range.
You may also consider a Borg Warner S366 style unit, @customblackbird has an excellent thread highlighting the differences between some of these smaller turbos with real world use.

I've checked out a naturally aspirated sandrail in the Silver Lake area of Michigan, he was making near that with a bigger engine.

That said I don't think a turbo setup would be markedly cheaper and it requires more plumbing. But I think they are funner.

A supercharger would get you to your power goals too.

I dont know how a sand rail is used, do they need low end grunt, torque, low or high RPM, just guessing you need low end power, hard to walk thru sand, lol. I had a 5.3, flat top pistons, 799 heads, Linginfelter 209/219 supercharger cam, VS 78/75 turbo, it made right at 500/500 RWHP at 5900 on 10 lbs, 93, no IC'er. The cam gave it the low end power, turbo added it on top.

One I saw was pretty light, I'm guessing with the 382? it had also ran a lot of rear gear.
