Default Crashed my car ..... Video inside

Well we went out to Lebanon Valley and tried to see if the track would hold the car... 60ft was a bit soft, 1.17 but power came in and we hit some fluid on the track and hit the wall. Set up is Forced Inductions x275 88mm, 388 solid roller, 3150 lbs, m1, and I am paralyzed and drive with hand controls.... ugh....

Main thing is you are OK, really hate to see a car banged up, but they can be replaced.

I hate that people have to run down the track to check on someone. Does no one own a scooter or golf cart? Should be mandatory to either have someone down there just in case or have something motorized to get down there. Glad youre ok.

Glad you are alright. Nothing you could do on that ride, car got upset quick. Have you practiced getting out in case of a worse case scenario? I just think of a fire and trying to pull yourself out.

Damn, don't know how I missed this. Been there/done that and know exactly what you felt/are feeling and glad you're OK. Don't know what the class rules call for as it relates to fire safety, but hopefully you have a well thought out and top-notch system.

Best of luck getting back out there.

Just want to say that you're an inspiration being paralyzed and still have to ***** to keep racing at that level after a wreck. The car can be replaced and rebuilt..you cant. I agree with the others..your crew needs a set of wheels to reach you faster. Hopefully they wont need to use it but better to have it and not need it vs need it and not have it. All the best in your 2023 season.

Most tracks wont let you take a crew car/truck down the track.. you have to use the frontage road ..
I have done the "eff-it" play and just blew on down but they get really angry... Fortunately I had a truck with a foam unit so "fire truck" LOL

I crew chief-ed for a road race car we had the same issue, but we finally got the officials
to start telling corner crews that the really fast red sport 2000 had a paraplegic driver..

He didn't wreck often, but we wanted folks to know he would need help if he did.
He was actually pretty good at getting out when he had to, but getting away from the car was the issue.

I built a bar that attached to the roll bar that swung out, so he could pull himself up out of the cockpit if needed.
Also doubled up the cold-fire extinguisher system.. 2 tanks instead of one so it really soaked the cockpit down.
