Default Turbo Noob questions

I have both Huron headers on and I am installing the cross pipe. I got to say it sits different than I thought it would. I got a couple questions. I have included pictures. How does this metal flange piece go on. Also this harness from the battery across seems like it’ll melt almost instantly. Is it enough to cover with with heat protection or does it need to be moved?

As long as you wrap the hotside and put some distance between the cable and pipe you'll be fine.
The flange in your hand looks like a weld-on flange for the BOV valve most likely as the waste gate flanges should already be welded on the hotside pipe.
Leave everything loose on the hotside, get all the piping bolted up and in place and then go through and tighten everything down, will make life much easier.

thank you that makes sense. Seems like a lot of weight to be held on with clamps from the cross over to the headers. I know it’s fine and works though. Turbo is just heavy. I’m putting the 02 sensors and turbo on it then the whole pipe in it.

I ran that setup in my last car for almost five years with a larger Turbonetics T7875 turbo and it never gave me any issues.
You'll love it, I ran the car on 6-7 lbs. for a year to get everything working then cranked it up to 14 lbs. and loved it.
I highly recommend an electric cutout (QTP works great) and electronic boost controller (Innovate SCG-1 works great, easy to use and install) of some kind to really get the best performance.

I have the next gen VS 7875 .96 ar. The car barely gets driven like 1000 miles in three years. I am running fender exit as of now. I was going to just run it on the 14lbs spring that was already installed. I was thinking with E it’ll be ok. Maybe I should at least get a manual boost controller. I was just relying to get it on the street I have had the kit for a couple years.l sitting on the shelf.

Oooh that will make some steam.
14 lbs. on E will be fine, just make sure the tune is spot on, Pat G. has been doing all my stuff and he's excellent.
You can run on gate and be fine, an EBC just brings the boost in harder, you can always toss one in down the road.
My current car has a 4" fender exit and I love it, load AF and puts out all the turbo noises lol.
You outta be able to make 700whp no problem, six speed cars with that kinda power are a blast and will keep you on your toes.

That would be wild. Did you have him remote tune it in HP or in person. I actually emailed him yesterday. I have read about your car before and was impressed with his work.
