Weird injector problem Car has been running great, got a handle on boost problems, starts, idles, drives fine. Idle has always been a little rich, kind of dirties the plugs, never fouled any. I had switched to 210 injectors before tuning, used the drop down to pick them, was a seamless transition from the other injectors. I was pulling the plugs yesterday, #5 looked like it wasn't firing, real clean. I replaced the coil, plug, tested the plug wire, getting great spark, but when I pulled the plug wire no diff in running. I was checking the injector plug and oh $hit, it says #7, senior moment, lol. So I look at #7, says #5, somehow I guess I got them mixed up when replacing the injectors. I ran a comp test on 5 & 7, its inline with the other cyls. Anyway, corrected the wiring, took it for a drive, seems pretty much the same, maybe a hair smoother, but no huge diff. How can it run so good with the 2 inj plugs swapped, not damage the engine. I had made 5-6 boost hits, but only for a couple seconds. I do have Summit forged rods/pistons, pretty sure they could tolerate more than cast. Was it dumping raw fuel out since the injs were prob firing, just the wrong time. I put a fresh set of plugs in last night, going to do some light, med cruising, zeroed the learn, kind of see how the relearn does. (Holley X Max)
