Noob to turbo setup I’m building my first ever turbo setup, I’m pretty much doing the don’tbsme setup except I’m using a sheet metal intake, decapped delphi injectors,early 00’s 5.3 and a th400 with a 2800 stall converter. I’ve spent the day reading and reading and doing more reading and all it seems to do is confuse me more. So here’s my questions that I hope can get simplified for me.
1) Do I use a maf or a map?
2) Do I use O2 sensors or leave them out and only run my wideband?
3) The only dyno tuner near me won’t tune a stock ecm so could I use a remote tuner? Maybe one that can help me learn how to tune with hptuners? I’m sure it’ll be pretty costly but I think it would be worth it in the long run rather than me trying it by the seat of my pants and blowing it up.

On my current set up, I run a speed density tune (no maf). I run a DPE 2.5 bar map sensor good to about 21 psi I believe. Its a pricey sensor, but honestly I didn't pull the intake to put it one and wanted to only do it once. I have the front 02 sensors in the sides of the cross over tube. My kit was from Huron. There are some great remote tuners out there Vengeance does remote tuning Pat G does, but I would pick one and check to see what equipment they would want you to have. The may have a favorite wide band to use. I think Vengeance like Ballenger?? They also use to do some classes on tuning, not sure if they still do or not.
