Default Are these pistons suitable for boost?

I'm still in the early stages of my build and kind of got the itch for a turbo.

I would like to get some opinions of whether my pistons are suitable for boost. I recently ordered these so I'm still in the grace period to exchange them if necessary.
I'm wondering if the compression will be too high and I should exchange them for some dish pistons instead of the 3cc dome pistons.

I'm looking to build a fun street truck that I may take to the track on occasion.

This is also going in a 1985 Chevy S10.

" fun street truck " stock stuff will do that !! Nothing wrong with some extra insurance though. The questions are going to be , power goal? Fuel? What heads? And where will compression e d up ?

I was originally shooting for 500hp NA, hence the 3cc mini dome pistons.
Heads are CNC ported 243's that flow 300cfm.
Rods are BTR H-beam rods
Machine shop calculated compression to be roughly 10:5:1.

This originally started off as a stock 5.3 rebuild with a cam, but one of the rods end up being bent and the cylinders needed to be bored out, so now it's an 5.7L LM7.

I think a turbo LS S10 would make a really fun hot rod.

there are plenty of 10:1.1 stock internal Ls’s out there with boost so a half a point wont affect it especially if they’re forged.

Youll make more power per lb of boost and have better off boost manners and power. Unless you live in Commiefornia and have to run that watered down ****-gas then it would be pushing it.

Way overkill for a low boost street application

I'll give my input since I did something like this.....

Stock LS1, 243 heads and 228/232 cam. I think compression was 10.4ish. Around 10-11psi on 93 I had to run the timing low, around 11 degrees. I added a degree to it and busted a piston (stock, but it was still denotating). Built a 5.3 with summit pro ls rods and pistons, same 243 heads. compression is now 9.4:1. Ive run 24 psi of boost on 11 degrees of timing and at 10 psi I run like 18-20, 14psi around 14-14 degrees. I can run 87 octane on 10 psi and it doesn't knock but I do pull a couple degrees when I run regular. Its not lazy of an engine at all, in a heavy car and it comes into boost very quickly. My vote is lower compression on pump gas, if you are running e85 then higher compression. Also, if you are putting it in a lightweight vehicle, you can get away with more compression. More gear will allow more compression. When you decrease the load, it decreases knock sensitivity. my car weighs around 3800lbs btw.
