Default TR224 cam for blower?

It looks like one of the fastest FI cars on this site runs a MMS 224/224 cam.
The cars name is " Silver Bullet ". That car moves!!! I finally got a new LS6 block so i can start building my 383 stroker with a D1SC kit. I was thinking of using a medium size cam, something in the 224 or 226 range on a 115lsa. But after seeing this car run 9's with only a 224/224 cam i was shocked. Which is great cause i just got TR224/224 114lsa cam in yesterday . It's time to retire the 216/220 114lsa cam. But i did run a best of 11.79 @ 115.06mph on a 1.609 60" with that little sucker. I also finally tuned in my TNT wet kit. Man the wait was worth it!!! I only have the 75hp jets in for now, but i plan on moving them up. Lastweek i got into a street racing and my buddy was following behind us and they said i black tracked the whole 1/4 mile
The ET Streets are done..lol. I couldn't hook them for crap. I got new Hooser's coming. But getting back to the cam issue. Should i just use the TR224 cam for my new 383 blower setup. Please let me know what you all think.

I don't think mine hurt me that much. Of course a split-duration cam would be better.

With the Stroker you'll have more TQ.

I just did a 218/224 114 and the power band peaks earlier than I expected. To go again I'd to a 224/228 114.

Check the cam specs for overlap tho. That might be just starting to overlap.

Yeah i see what you mean about having alittle more duration on the exhaust. I was thinking since GTP has my 6.0 liter heads flowing over 230 cfm on the exhaust i really don't need more duration. Before i posted this i looked in Comp Cams catalog and i came up with a 226/232 on a 115lsa XE lobe. But then i saw the Silver Bullet run 9.70's with a 224/224 cam in a 388cid motor i was shocked. I just don't want to over scavange and pull all the heat out of the head. Maybe a 226/230 115lsa would be plenty. This way i keep some heat in the combustion chamber and the motor will still peak early. I'm only looking to shift this car at 6300-6500 rpm anyway.

Den, I'd suggest a 222/228-115. I'm sure happy with it. the car went 6.907 @ 101 in the 1/8th last weekend with a 1.63 60ft and 85 degree temps. it's already gone 103, but my driving has been inconsistent. I botched the best pass of the night. had a 1.59 60ft and just couldn't get it into second....maybe you should have kept it.

Man That cam really did work great for ya huh? lol...That's cool. I want to run alittle bigger cam in the 383, but it's good to see that the 222/228 cam is working out. Can i buy it back from ya? lol...just kidding.
