Default Electronic boost control solenoid and routing options

Looking for input on boost control. I have a 5.3/t56 with a single 7875 running Terminator X DBW. Twin 38mm Tial MV-S wastegates. This is a street car. Definitely want electronic control to let Holley control it so I can do more things than a manual setup will allow.

I have tried to read through countless pages of information on electronic boost control. There are pros and cons to every setup. I already own a Holley 3 port solenoid but am willing to switch if needed.

Here are the setups I am thinking about:

#1

Tried and true. This setup seems fairly simple but think the wastegate might crack open early, costing me spool lag. Probably not a huge range of min and max boost.

#2

This setup is recommended by Holley. Requires 2 outputs and another valve. From what I've read this may be more complex to tune but may be very precise control?

#3

Recommended by a few people here. May need a small bleed hole in the upper line. Seems like it would hold the valve shut until boost is routed to the lower line, then the gate would fully open all at once, which would be optimal? May be harder to tune? Max range of min/max boost?

#4

Seems like this is similar to #3. I've read this may be harder to tune and give less boost control resolution

Thoughts and opinions welcome

Number 3 gives you the best range of control with the parts you currently have. You can always make things more complicated later if you feel like buying more stuff. Number 1 is the way you would run a manual boost controller. You could do that with the electronic, but why would you?

How much boost do you want to run? #1 is pretty standard but you usually can only increase it to approximately double of the gate spring pressure. #4 is basically the same type of setup as #1 but you can reach much higher pressures at the expense of resolution/sensitivity. #3 is traditionally used with CO2 as the pressure source, would not bother without it. #3, not a fan but I know people have done it successfully with a bleed on top but in my experience pressure hasn't been very consistent.

Either way if you are running a Term X you are missing the MAP pressure control method which uses a feed forward table of duty cycle vs target boost to operate in a closed loop fashion so you can just commanded a specific amount of boost and it tries to target it. You are pretty much relegated to open loop unless you use dome pressure and then it can regulate against that, but not MAP directly I don't believe.
