I set my Firebird up with a CO2 actuated exhaust cutout and made a short video explaining it. This is my first attempt at actually narrating a video, so don't expect world class narration, lol:
Wonder how much co2 it will end up using in the long run. Did you activate it and check for leaks by chance to see how much bypasses?
Which 4" valve did you go with and how much exhaust leakage is there, curious?
Since I have CO2 boost control as well, I go through a 2.5 lb. bottle about every month and a half, but it's only $20 for refills 2 blocks from my place, so it's not a big deal. I think it would last longer if I would remember to shut the damn bottle off every time I am done driving the car. I can't be 100% sure how long it lasts because I keep doing that. I activated it with air pressure to test it, and even at 30-40 PSI it doesn't leak. I have it regulated down to about 12-15PSI. When the Holley controls it, it's opening and shutting on every shift, so the MAC valve is venting that every time. So I have gotten away from using that unless I'm trying to make it quieter while cruising. The valve I'm using is this one: https://proflowexhaust.com/products/...=6854808272958 It works pretty well, but it started to rattle recently and I had to tack weld the actuator arm tab to the shaft so it would stop. No big deal, I'm pretty happy with the setup.

yeh that is badass man, a little more then im looking to do. I ordered 4 sticks of stainless steel 304 piping, 2-45's, 2-90's, 2-180's, head gaskets, o2 sensor bung, exhaust hangers, 4 v-band clamps, and a 30" diesel muffler thats 4" in/out, and some black high heat silicone paint, I have exhaust wrap already and ill wrapped the piece under the hood and paint it, I have the silicone paint on my dump and it works surprisingly well at keeping the wrap tight and in place. Thats the only wrap ive used and it stayed in place and it was Definitely the paint. Just those items were already $750. The prices on everything are so expensive and i dont want to break the band just to put exhaust on it, also with me keeping in mind I still have to fix whatever issue is going on in the valvetrain.
have you ever thought abour switching it to a VAIR tank so you didnt habe to refill? My boost is controlled by a tank so if i ever did something like that I assume I could share the same tank.
