Default Accessories issue

Just wondering if others running truck accessories are or have had any problems with there tensioner's over extending. If I make 2 or 3 pulls to 7k it will over extend my belt tentioner so bad it breaks the little aluminum stop off. This allows the pulley to flip around counter clockwise, and loose tension on the belt. I've never seen anything like it. I've tried 2 different length belts and 2 tensioner's now. Opinions please?

If I'm getting the description of what's happening correct , I'd say the belt is too long. There's a longer belt with the 145 amp alternator vs the 105 amp , maybe that's it ?

Also misfires at high rpms can really mess with the belt

As rpm gets around 7k, especially with a quick accelerating engine, the factory tensioners tend to get weak. I’ve used the Katech manual tensioners to fix the issue. No more thrown belts.
