Not worth it on pump gas. The issue is you make less power per pound without the IC. You don’t get that back with water/meth. It may cool the cyl enough to stop detonation at the same boost, but you will still be way down on power at like boost.

In the neighborhood of 30% Less power. So if you use the general rule of 6% gain per pound. You’d need to run an additional 5lbs of boost to compensate. But each additional pound also raises the charge temps. So you get back even less power per pound. So really you’d need to run more like 6-7lbs more to get the same power an iced A2W IC makes. That would jack the chrge temps up near 380* depending on ambient temps and the turbo eff. So you’d need to substitute enough straight meth to run 380*+ charge temps without knock on pump fuel. No store bought kit would come anywhere close to being able to provide enough methanol to do that. Its a losing battle all around.

The only time that sceerio makes sense is if you are class racing for the weight break and running straight methanol.

Or... If you can meet what ever goal you have without the IC on the base fuel you run. In my case that was an 8.50 cage cert. Which I could easily hit without an IC on E85. So no need for the weight/hassel.

Appreciate the suggestions. Looks like I will be keeping the A2W intercooler. Will have to do more research on either Water/Meth or Possibly Dual Fuel...

Dual fuel is really cool, if you go get on Yellow Bullet there's some really fast guys on there running dual fuel setups and they'll answer any questions.
You'll need an aftermarket ECU and have to figure out additional injector locations on the intake but with the truck you could easily add a 2-3 gallon fuel tank in the back with race gas or E.
I've been pretty happy with my meth kit, simple to install and makes great power. You just have to remember to prime it before using it but I just do that after I pull out of the driveway whether I plan to make a hit or not (I always do lol).

You should install a check valve up near your nozzles so fluid is always up there. I use a snow performance check valve with a 7 psi crack pressure

Now there's a great idea, I'll look into that!

Mine is all -04AN braided line but I saw they have that too.
Just need a -04AN female to -04AN female fitting and I can place right where it tee's off to each nozzle.

Having both is better for power and safer than either one by itself. But if I had to chose one, I would go with the IC first. I regularly get under ambient with the meth kit spraying along with a big intercooler. I doubt the meth kit alone could do that.

I am cooking dinner and have my digital meat thermometer out and just for fun I poured some isopropyl alcohol on it and waved my hand over it to get a breeze going and got it from 70°F ambient to 45°F in a matter of seconds. Imagine how much colder I could get it with a fan and misting more alcohol.
