Is this catch can setup safe to run like this?

Crankcase pressure comes out the valve cover ports. It gets there; it works. (grin)
And, connected to the oil fill cap works too - it's still open to the crankcase. That's how I have my catch can connected, except I have a fully functioning PCV system.
If you are going to use the oil fill cap, plug the valve cover ports so dirt doesn't get in, or oil blown out.
