sts exhaust
has anyone done a workaround for the intake pipe and exhaust exit(s) to give it that stock look?
the kit looks like it would make my car pretty fun at a reasonable price.
Its really not a bad idea and could be done!
If you are interested in a kit, check us out!
damn stocks.if i go with the sts kit (more like when), i'll put the exhaust on there like i was talking about. it would just be nice to see some pics to get a few idea's. prolly just a y pipe after the turbo would be the best bet.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
On a side note, even though we havent dynoed yet, hopefully next week, we did some short bursts with the HP Tuner software connected, we showed no knock, although I am very careful for now to do only short bursts until we can confirm AFR when on the Dyno.
The turbo is surprisingly responsive and we see almost 6 PSI of boost.
I've had a couple of short races with a '03 Viper and a new ZO6. The viper
could not pull on me in 2nd. gear. The Corvette in a 4th. gear blast was losing ground.
Since the boost starts coming on around 2500 and is full in at 3000 lag is not an issue particularly because its a 6 SP. For Auto guys I would recommend a 3000 stall converter.
Hopefully I can post dyno sheets next week.
On another post someone had asked about theft of the turbo. It definitely wouldn't be hard. It takes about 20 mins. to remove the unit. A thief could probably do it in about 10 mins. Cut hoses, undo clamps and undo 4 bolts from
the exhaust housing.

sounds similar to what I am going to do except my tips are muffled tips (Supertrapps)
I also plan to plumb the watesgate into the exhaust path. what did you use to make your flange with to mount the pipe you made from your exhaust tip to the wastegate?
which turbo and exhaust housing are you using?
For the flange I used a piece of 3/8 flat steel which I shaped to the Wastegate outlet. The 1.25 pipe needs to get bent so that it points to the middle of your bumper cutouts, then you need to get an expanded apaptor
to go from the 1.25 pipe to the size of whatever tip you'll be using. All material for the piping and bending the pipe can be done at a good muffler shop. I've got pictures but since I'm kinda computer unfriendly, I don't know how to post them.

i would think that if i wrapped the intake and drivgerside exhaust it would help alot to keep a cool air charge. ill have to do some more thinking on this one
I can even host them for you so others can see too.

they are a bitch to keep clean, but i loved the look, and had to have em.
