both have forged rods and pistons.

10:1 compression and 10 psi ...or 9:1-9:5:1 compression and 12psi?

Traditional formula:

For every full point increase in compression the power output increases ~3%.

How about 8.5:1 and 15 psi? More boost and less compression makes more power on pump gas than more compression and less boost, period. If you want to run 10:1 and 10 pounds pounds of boost so you can say "I chose to run 10:1 because I want the motor snappier off boost or some trash like that, that's fine. The way I see it is when you're driving your car part throttle do you need every last ounce of horsepower anyways? No. You want more power when you're accelerating and driving hard, under boost. I would wager than a 9:1 motor pullied for more boost will have a superior power curve compared to the 10:1 motor, even low in the RPM range. More boost means you're spinning the blower faster even at lower RPM's, so you're going to start making boost quicker.

I'd rather go 8.5:1 - 9:1 then 10:1 the throtte response comments are BS stuff from asking old school guys.

If I did it again I would do 8.5:1 rather than my current 9:1.

My motor is 9:1, but if I had to do it over I would of gone 8.5:1, that would let me have a little more play with the pump gas
