Turbo'd...or Procharged...that is the question
1) STS was a little cheaper, and I thought I could get the same or better results
2) The install on the kit looked straightforward, and is something I could knock down in a day
3) The "cool" factor of having something there aren't 400 of locally
4) "On-demand" boost and the ability to sound like a stocker until I put my foot in it
The outfit in KC that is going to do a dyno tune for me is an ATI dealer who does a lot of local business. I'll be interested in seeing what my torque curve looks like running at 8psi + methanol compared to the base ATI kit.
I hate pissing matches, and ATI results speak for themselves. Many STS cars have not been set up for serious drag racing to the extent that Procharger cars have been, but there is a lot of potential here.
After I get my car tuned on Sept 8, I can try to post dyno graphs for my car and ATI "stock" charts for LS-1.
