Default Which is better single or twins?

Lets here the pros and cons of both.

Also if you had to do it all over again would you switch to the other?

I've got a 8.8-1 compression 346ci with 6.0l heads and want to build a turbo kit for it.

My car is stripped out under the hood so i have alot of room.

single is better, if setup right.

either one works just as good. it is all what you can package, fit or afford.

Neither is better.

If you have to ask, the answer is either can provide more horsepower than you're prepared to handle.

Single is easier to package and generally cheaper. With the right selection, a single can spool and make the power you desire.

One big one will generally make more power than two smaller ones. However, twin turbo usually spools faster and will reduce turbo lag, if you dont want that. Turbo lag isnt usually a problem when drag racing though, since you will get the turbo spooled up before launching.

Well, TWINS obviously.

Oh wait... Are we talking about turbos?

Lag is mostly an issue for teeeny little motors that have no torque without the turbo. On a V8 with a properly sized turbo, cam, and drivetrain, you'll never notice the "lag". I sure don't.
