Default I regret getting this FMIC...

**** I regret getting this FMIC so late in the game lol.
Last night I took her out to the track and was able to get a pass in before the big event today.

Track wasn't hooking for nothing....like always But it was a cool 69 deg's I did a decent burnout to try to get the tires to hook and bam
http://home.comcast.net/~jsbird1998/fmic.mov
3.7megs about 1min on cable..

The DA was better this night than two weeks ago and my car shifted awesome down the track, and had a nice clean run and kept it floored all the way through the traps. I didn't expect this type of mph, the run would have been better if I 60'ed in the 1.6range like I normally do, but what can you do. I am stoked. I need to get some 60lb injectors as these 42.5s aren't cutting it now, a/f chart is rising at the end of the run. Boost was a just past 15psi, no slip SDCE

The car use to trap in the 116-7mph range before the FMIC. Two weeks ago with the FMIC the car went
11.46@113mph - botched shifts and lifting before the traps
60ft was 1.66
1/8t was 7.300
DA was worse at 8229ft

So if I just would have had the 60ft of two weeks ago, the car would have gone real close to its goal.

My quest for 10's continues, I need to get 60's, clean up the tune a little and hook up and I will be there:fingerscrossed:

Not bad for a IC change, especially with my cheap ghetto no name brand low brow FMIC lol, too bad it doesnt have a widely recognized brand name

Congrats Jer!

The mph is definitely there!

Are you going to compete today?

Scott and I will be heading out there in the afternoon.

WE ran almost identical MPH.... my first tiem to the track and my only pass with the SDCE kit 124.19MPH. I cant wait till my IC goes on....... Hopefully around the first. Im sending you a PM.

Good work Jer. Whats you FP look like at WOT??? What pump again and whats your base FP?? You using boost ref??

Thanks Frank, Me and Josh will be heading out hopefully later, but I don't have $$ to run the car in the event, just to watch. I'll see you out there.

I was always under the impression that we are usually 80-90 hp down. We make about 82 percent of the power that we should be making at sea level.....losing about 18% total, those numbers always run about the same as my dyno corrections...my 2 pennies. Our elevation kills us big time, the DA doesn't help either. A lot of people don't believe that our cars lose that much power up here. Only thing I can tell em is bring their car up here and lose to me

FP is at 58 psi, pump is a Racetronix plug and play unit. No boost reference as I had to do some tuning on my own. I now have a closed loop tune at PT and at WOT it goes open loop and adds fuel like it should. On my efilive logs on the highway going down there my injector dc's were at 105% at 5600 rpm and 122% at 6100rpm They are getting worked pretty hard. When I had it boost referenced, my IFR tables and 1:1 rate weren't jiving as soon I got into the gas, my afr would dip to 10.1 pretty quick. I'm new to using LS1edit, but kinda had to do something as my luck appearently ran out with the tuner that was doing it before??

Thanks Black blown, I hope you see some good track times too.

Sup Bro, I tried to call you but no one answered. I stalled it pretty high on that pass but it spun em, no traction at all, but I drove her out of it instead of lifting and stomping like I normally do Sheeit, did you pay attention to the end of the video, I didn't let off until I was way past the lights on that run, I'm starting to get use to the car again lol.

You have the mph for 10s, you are going to need a better then 1.66 60' to get there though. 1.55-1.60 should get you there so work on them 60's

Congrats, thats doing very well at that elevation..

Thanks KP, I have to go to a more aggressive tire, like a ET Drag. Our track prep is non existant, and I had some good luck hitting 1.55-59's with ET Drags last season. Thats about the only way I'll get those 60's.

Nah, I'll just use em for track only and put the stock rims back on. Do the ol switch a roo for track time. Its a pain in the *** but I need to hook. I'll use the ET streets until they are worn down, so these have about 2 months left on em at the most before i'll be buying ET drags.

There is no comparison between ET drags and ET streets on a crap track - same day, same track: 10.5x27x15 ET streets @ 11psi 1.602 60' best and spinning pretty bad, 9x28x15 ET drags @ 14psi 1.474 60' best. On a well prepped track the same ET streets have gone 1.46x 60' but at the local tracks they just dont do it..
