Post S/C vs. NA

What's the better back for your buck? A super chargerer or Head cam/ 383?
I'm a newbie and don't have a SS yet but plan to in the near future

a properly built h/c 383 would beat a stock ls1 with a supercharger IMHO.

I never saw a 383CID with good maners(idle, fuel economy, etc...) making over 460rwhp 440rwtq. On the other hand, there are alot of SC'd LS1 making close to 500rwhp on 8-9psi with stock like maners. Cammed SC'd LS1's are making over 500rwhp with really good maners. At the end i would do both, but start with a SC first and then forge ur engine with lower C/R in the future. There is also no need to increase displacment when you are boosted which help u save money too. Just forge your engine with good pistons and rods and you are good to go. Good luck.
