Difference between vortec kits 98-00 vs 01-02.. need some help please

Difference between vortec kits 98-00 vs 01-02.. need some help please I found a used vortec supercharger kit that I wanted to buy but after I got the part number (4GK218-060S) I found out it was listed as:
1998-'00 LS1 H.O. Kit with Aftercooler.
I called up vortech today and spoke to one of the techs and he said the differences are the coil brackets, inlet and outlet size for aftercooler, and the aftercooler itself. I asked if that "used" kit would fit my 2002 car and he said no I would need the kit with this part number (4GK218-080S).
Both kits are priced exactly the same but I wonder why he said the 98-00 s.c. would not fit on my car? Maybe he wanted to sell me a new product and earn my business instead? ..
anyway.. will that kit fit on my car? will I have to spend more $$ for upgrades to make it fit? can someone explain the differences between those 2 systems?
I was always more of a procharger fan and have no idea if this is the T trim, S trim, G trim ... etc
Im planning to slap that supercharger on top of my cam only setup and maybe invest in heads later. What size injectors would I need?
Any problems with belt slippage on this system? anything else I should know about?
needless to say, setup will be tuned and fuel system will be upgraded.
