Questions on custom turbo kit fab.. Im beginning plans on a custom turbo kit. i plan on using a single t76 to start the project off. probably will be tracking my progress periodically on here so lets begin... first off i have some questions that i have researched and not found answers too. im looking to buy a used garret t76 turbo, now our all the t76's the same.. as in can i use the one out of a diesel and get the same as any other t76? also what would be the best type of header to use for this project as i dont exactly want to fabricate the headers but hope theres some out there i can find... thanks 
Not all T76's are created equal. Also a diesel 76mm will be in a large frame chassis. Doubt you will want that, unless your ready to do some hacking on the car. As for headers, none really out there right now except from TTI.

There are several turbo boards that you could find a used turbo on. I actually picked up my T-76 from www.turbomustangs.com. They have a great LS1 turbo section and often have parts up for sale. If you are not wanting to buy the entire kit, there are a few people on the same site that make custom headers. I believe most of those guys charge between $1,600-1,800. Otherwise, you can check out TTi or Stainless Works. Good luck and I can't wait to see your progress.
awesome thanks for your help. im gonna try to get all this stuff purchased in the coming month and begin the fab soon after just need to figure out how i want to route the piping now....
