Default turbo kit questions

There seems to be alot of following now for the sts kit, but there are those that keep saying, 'for the same price you can get a traditional under the hood kit.' Is this true? If I could get a complete under the hood kit, I mean everything like that which is included with the sts, for under 4Gs then I think I might be set. Is there a kit, that will perform as well as the sts under daily driving? I want a Turbo, and am leaning to the sts but the sfc thing is getting to me. I have serched and searched to no avail. Could someone put up some links, or get me some info on sililarly priced complete kits?

Thanx
Fry

I just ran across the Turbo Technologies kit.....That looks pretty nice, comparable numbers to the sts. How does this kit fare on the streets?

The sfc issue is easy to overcome but just changing one pipe.
The install on the sts is very easy; can be done with no mods to the engine bay at all
in about 6-8 hours in your driveway.

a used turbotech kit can be had for less of the cost of a sts kit. do a search in the clasifieds i think there are a couple up for sale (watch the dates though)
granted the sts will be easier to install, but the TTi kit will be in your engine bay.

you can get a used TT kit for about the same price as a new STS kit(if not cheaper) i believe there is one in the for sale section.
