Turbo motor questions.
Turbo motor questions. I am planning to do a twin turbo LS1 in my 73 camaro. My original plan was to either do a 383 LS6 block or a 408 iron block. Talking to one of my buddies, he is advising I should keep it as close to stock stroke due to rod ratio and longevity of the motor. The motor is going to be driven on the street here and there and his concern was there will be much more wear on a stroker motor.
I am also planning on setting this car up for some road racing (Coil over swap, rim tire swap and front sway bar disconnects)
I know there are guys here making serious power on the stock crank and was wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on this. Any input would be great.
Should I be worried about a stroker crank in my application?
