heads/cam with 8 psi

heads/cam with 8 psi hi guys just a couple of quick ?'s
1. i got a good deal on stock 6.0 lt lq4 aluminum heads , would these be ok to run 8-9 psi on stock buttom end.
2. what cam do you guys recommend with these heads and 8-9 psi? i was thinking just a ls6 cam because i still have to worry about passing immisions.
cam specs would be great
3. would the ls1 valve covers fit the lq4 heads
4. what head gasket should i use.

umm I went 6psi 8 rib d1 with 6.0l patriot heads and a 230/234 cam and ended up around 587 and 519 tq @ 6000 rpms(out of fuel at the time)... that will kill your stock block bro

ok, lets say i keep running on 6 psi, and bolt on those heads, what cam should i get
my goal is 500 rwhp
with 5-6 psi i got 430 rwhp
btw the 6.0 heads are stock they are not ported. but they do flow better then the ls1 heads

Valve covers fit just the same as any other.......... The compression drop.... about 9.4-9.6:1 depending on headgasket choice will help....I love the 6.0L MLS head gaskets and there like $50...... but like everyone else is saying..... the bottom end wont last long.... A LS6 cam should pass emissions... i would think...... Its all about tuning... i cant stress that enough..... oh and you will be out of injector so go and ahead and get another set..... and 42#'s wont be big enough if you are going to be doing 8psi.......... it takes alot of $$$$ to make a FI LS1....
