To bypass near charger or plenum, that is the question ?

To bypass near charger or plenum, that is the question ? Should I mount my ATI race bypass near the air plenum (under the hood) or right after the intercooler ?
It's such a nice piece, I don't think I want it to get wet
Plus, it blows so much air, it might cool the engine if it's under the hood
On the other hand, if it is underneath the car by the charger, it'll get be in a cooler environment. What do you guys think ?

well I mounter mine right after the intercooler because someone told me that the closer to the compressor, the better. Don't know if there is any truth to it though
