Opinions wanted regarding "flow"
assuming mandrel bends does having a tight S impead flow at all?
I am thinking no since the interior of the piping will still be perfectly smooth but was hoping any of you fluid mechanics types out there could tell me for sure.
thanks.

Will it impede flow as compared to what?
The more bends you have, and the tighter radius they are, the more flow loss you will have.
That being said, if an "S" is needed in your design, I don't see it as a problem.

good point.
compared to lets say a 45 degree bend.
the S would be very near the discharge of the turbo so I was hoping it would not pose too much of a performance loss.
it's an STS setup I am reworking to gain ground clearance since my car is lowered.
just trying to figure out if there is any potential loss in performance that could occur as a result of my attempt to gain the extra 3/4's of an inch of clearance.
