Default Compressor housing orientation

To change the orientation of the compressor housing, is it as simple as removing the bolts holding it on, turning it, and rebolting it up? Does it matter how the housing is arranged?

You don't have to totally unbolt it, just losen up the bolts a hair, and the housing will spin.

The center section has to be mounted with the oil drain pointing downward if using a gravity drain setup. The compressor housing can rotate once you loosen the bolts (on small turbos its four). You still have to make sure that the mounting setup for the actuator will properly align with the wastegate, but you can alway fabricate brackets to offset things.
