rods, pistons, cam? Looking to build a 402 or 408 stroker and need advice on rods, pistons, and a cam. Thinking about going turbo in the future so it'll have to be low compression, thinking around 8.5:1. Will be spraying at least 150 wet shot of nitrous starting out until I can afford the turbo. My price range for the stroker kit I'm guessing between $3000-$4000. So what rods, pistons, and cams are good for a turbo application and can handle up to 15-20 lbs of boost without dying? Thanks.

We use Callies crank, Crowler rods, and Diamond pistons. We make alot of 408s with this combination but have made one 427ci motor also. Diamond makes a special piston for boost with the ring groves lower on the piston and obviously you can get them dished to your specs. Remeber you need head gaskets also that are going to be bigger bore. We use Cometics at RPM and have never had a problem. I would also go ahead and get the ARP main stud kit if you are already going to be there along with the head stud kit for a boost application.
