overdrive roots blower? this isn't an LS1 question but I am hoping someone will know the answer....
I'm looking to put a Weiand 177 street blower on a Big Block (8.5:1 CR). I am going with the 177 vs. a 8-71 or 10-71 style because of hood space and I can't use a Paxton/Vortec style due to limited space to hang things off the front of the engine (small car).
The question I'm having is "what will happen (negatives) if I go an do a 2:1 belt ratio (overdrive)?" This should give me the airflow I need/want (should hit ~10psi at 6500RPM) as long as it does not adversly affect the SC its self.
