Default Exhaust Popping on cold start-up

I have the D-1SC.Every since it was installed it pop's & shoots flames on cold start-up. It only does this 3-4 times then it goes away and idle's fine. Anyone have an answer what might be causing this?

ThankYou

i have the popping problem on my stock trans am ws6; guess its just cold and its running rich so it doesn't quite burn all the fuel, so it re-ignites in the exhaust. the whole shootin flames part i don't know about, prolly runnin a LOT rich from a tune. I could be wrong tho.

If you jave flames coming from your exaust > you are running way to rich at cold start. I'm no expert on tuning > but I'm sure you can fix that some how. What have you changed in your fuel system? Have you changed your plugs? You might be running with to hot of a plug too. I get something like a NGK TR6 or TR5. Good luck!

If you have a chance, take you car to a dealership and have them check your a/f mixture with a tech 2 > or if you have a friend with EFI live or autotap. Something is not right! Poping is pretty normal, flames > bad.

You see blue flames inside the tailpipe at night.

Sound like your tune is off in open loop(cold startup, warm start)Probly way too rich. Also an exhaust leak could cause backfires.

Yeah I hate when that happens. As said before, check your a/f ratio and tune your after-idle a/f ratio to whatever it is before warm up. That'll get rid of that stupid "quiet" exhaust and keep u popping all day.

Oh.... wait a sec.... u mean that the popping/ banging/ flame shooting is the problem?....
