paging Harlan three of us put your two step on and te car threw codes and went from 11.4 to 12.7. what in the two step would cause this because after i took it off thecar went back to running 11.4

You can't monitor AF while the 2 step is hold RPM, it will read lean if you do. You end up measuring the unburt air from the cylinders that are turned off. It's still running at 11.4

just while driving around it sent multiple misfires. then I took it off and the car went back to 11.40 This happened with my white car when I had that also with the procharger. ever since the two step the car didnt run the same when the 2 step was the only mod done. It is some how like not totally disengadging after we realease the trans brake. There was a stick car at the track that ran 11.50 added the two step and went 12.3 and 10 mph slower. But after he took it off the car didnt recover.He ran the car then put the two step on and ran it all at the same rental. Some of these two steps are effecting the coils in a way that the car doesnt fire correctly after its on and then after we take it off the car still runs like crap...
it definatlely sounds like it's not turning off.
Have you tried setting it for 0 speed? That will tell you if it's the switch wiring, or the 2 step. Set for 0 disables the 2 step feature.
You use the same 2 step on the stick car, or another? What plugs? If it's not firing right and got cold plugs, it might have just fouled the plugs.
When did you get the 2 steps?
I still have mine wired in, so I know it doesn't effect the coil firing when it's wired and operation properly.
You haven't had it get wet at all have you? A good bath will completely kill the motor, or make it misfire. I gave mine a bath last time out, lost my heater hose block off. Didn't have the lid on the 2 step
I can take a look at it if you want, or swap it for a new one.
