Need engine help!!!! Hey guys, what's up?? I'm planning on building a supercharged 383 LT1 engine, and was wondering if I could get some advice from some people who have already accomplished this. I want to run 15 pounds of boost, but I don't know wether to go with Vortech or Procharger....I remember hearing something about one of the units being self contained but I don't remember which one. What do you guys recommend?
I'm going to buy a new rotating assembly, probably a Callies dragon slayer crank and Lunati Pro-Mod rods. I want to get some good pistons too, which brand and what compression ratio???
As far as heads go I might get some LT4 heads worked or maybe some new Trickflows. I would love to get some AFR's but the wait is just too long....I wish I could get ahold of some AFR bare castings and have someone port them out.
What are some problems that I can expect to run into??? Also any advice on combination or anything else would be greatly appreciated.
OH! and this beast has still got to pass Virginia emissions, it sucks but I gotta deal with it. Any advice on cam would be great too.
