LS2 Intake gains Anyone tried or planning on trying the LS2 intake with a 90mm throttle body with a FI set up? I'm just wondering if it will produce any good gains over a LS6 intake.
I planned on throwing on an LS6 intake w/ a ported throttle body next year when I do my blower which in the end will cost about $600. If I get the LS2 kit with the 90mm Fast TB from SDPC it will be around $825 or so. Just wondering if the gains I'll see will be enough to warrant the cost difference between the two.

I dont think anybody has really tested to see if there are any substantial gains going with a bigger intake and tb. It should make power, my theory is you would lose torque but gain hp and you would have to spin your blower higher to make the same amount of boost. I'm sure someone with real experience can chime in about this.
Go with the LS2 90mm TB if you do the LS2 intake manifold. It has been reported to me (by someone who tested this personally) that there *are* gains to be had with the LS2 over an LS6, but, not much before 6200 RPM.. If you have a cam and are still making power from above 6200 I think it would be worth it.

Interesting, as I don't plan on spinning past 6200, as that is where I shift, I think I'll hold off for now. But I'd still like to see what gains people get before I decide by next spring.
