Need help selecting turbos to use in a TT setup

Default Need help selecting turbos to use in a TT setup

Ok, assuming i wanted to use the new GTR series from garrett...there is the 35/40 and the 40....

35/40r

the 35/40 says it uses a t3 style inlet flange, i have been told this is bad (can anyone help me clarify "bad") and the 40r has a t4 inlet but im afriad that might be too much turbo to run in a TT setup. Can anyone shed some light on this for me please? And yes im trying to go very fast and have lots of RWHP, haha, i know i could use smaller non BB turbos, but these are the two id like to choose from. Thanks!

stock displacement motor (well 348)

can anyone give me some input?

I would run GT40's with T4 flange. The T3's cause backpressure, thats why people say bad. Though some of this has changed thanks to more efficient (larger) turbine wheels.

two t40's wouldnt be too hard to spool? seriously? do you have any other ideas for me to choose from instead of the gt series perhaps? thanks for your help!

anyone else have any comments? the gt35/40r comes with a t4 option, so that would work. but ive been told that BB isnt worth it on such a small turbo and its only "worth it" on a larger turbo. can someone point me in the right direction? thanks!

Well you already know what I'm running, if your going to wait a little while I should have the turbos on the car soon enough and you can get ideas from that, you would also save about 3 tons of money going the route I did.

By the way, I found forward facing turbo headers that go up similar to Harlans car for a good price, shoot me a pm if you want some more info.
