I am between a rock and a hard place here guys! I am getting ready to begin buying parts for my new motor and I want to build it for a turbo set up....... BUT I don't want to get rid of my a/c with a kit like the speed inc kit(which I really like) but I can't get rid of my a/c.
But my big deal is that I can't figure out if I want to go with a flat top piston, or go with a dished piston. I am looking at building the car for the turbo with low compression or building it for nitrous with the flat tops.
But if I could find a kit that would allow me to keep my a/c I would definately go turbo b/c I am trying to build a low 9 second daily driver type of car.
Plans are........ 408 with eagle crank, manly rods, diamond coated pistons, cam somewhere in the 240/252 range on a 112 or 114, with some AFR 225's with some massaging topped off with a ls2 intake.
But anywayz i'de like some feedback on what to do.

wait and see how the ptk or hpturbo kits pan out or loose the a/c with the turbotech race stuff or don't go turbo at all.
everybody thinks about building one.. its the 'don't fit' part that botches that plan
either you loose the a/c or you hack up the radiator support

I don't think my twin turbo setup will require AC to be deleted. Some parts of it may have to be relocated though but the pump itself should be able to remain.

I agree with MIGHTYMOUSE. Wait and see how the ProTurbo Kits upcoming kit works out. An LT1 with their kit put down around 828rwhp and more torque (I think that's the number).
