Default What kind of boost gauge are you running?

What brand?

Electric or Mechanical? Ive been told to go with electric only but I have a few buddies that run mechanical and swear by them.

Do any of you run EGT gauges on your FI cars? If so where is your probe tapped? If any of you are tapping at the collector(s), LTs, what is the temp offset that far downstream?

TIA.

You know what guages I run.

If EGTs are still in the $200+ range I would skip it and get one of these dude. I should have mine hooked up when the truck gets back out of the shop.

http://www.aempower.com/product_ems.asp

It's the AEM UEGO Wideband o2 gauge kit.

I run an autometer phantom boost gauge and the phantom A/F gauge as well.

A full 1 day into using these, I think I'll replace the A/F with a wideband, so I know what the hell is really happening, rather than just seeing a light show and seeing I'm running rich when I give it some gas.

Thanks guys..

Im probably going to run a standard (black face) Autometer guages... theyll match the stock Camaro dash closer then any other Autometers. (Im picky about having things match)

Justin.. I was looking at that AEM guage the other day... I might have to get one.

I was thinking about a dual pillar with boost and FP... or a triple with boost, FP, and wideband AF.

If you need one check out internet prices and let me know what you find. AEM is pretty strict about online pricing so I may be able to get you a better deal since we are an AEM dealer bro.

I like the Dynojet Commander AF kit. It reads from 10+ while the AEM starts reading from 11 A/F. Also the Dynojet software is really easy to use. Check it out.

I have autometers pro-comp ultra lite electric boost and Fuel pressure gauges. I love the eboost gauge cause you don't have to watch it while running hard. You can pay attention to wideband or RPM, or FP or any of the more important gauges. the eboost gauge also has an easy toi see warning light if you start to over boost.

I also have AEM UEGO wideband guage and it works very well. I haven't compared it to a dyno's wideband setup, but my guess is it's pretty darn accurate from what i've seen so far.

I had digital gages from summit but the boost gage had a huge delay and only displayed positive. I switched to all Autometer Ulralite in a Triple Pod and they work great and look really nice. I have a mechanical boost gage, it was easy to hook up just dont tighten the hose coupler too tight or you crush the ring and ruin it. Also I got a trans temp gage and it ended up saving my trans, I had blockage in the stock cooler and never knew it.

yeah, but push it back in and put the trim ring back on. :p

I love the red in my CD8454 matches my T/A colors pretty close. Then the blue stuff matches my Cobalt gauges in my truck (I run the CD8454 in it too).
