STS on pump gas?

STS on pump gas? I've been reading through the forums on STS remote mounted turbo kits, and I have a few questions out of curiosity. What kind of boost numbers do you make on 93 octane pump gas? I don't have any experience with turbocharged larger motors such as v8's, but I've owned several imports with turbos... My last car was a 3000gt VR4 twin turbo, and I normally ran about 21 PSI of boost and got some serious performance on swapped turbos, however I had to us 110+ octane gas from VP racing, even though it was completely tuned, had an upgraded ignition system, spark timing was adjusted, etc etc. At 8 bucks a gallon here in Cali and with limited availablity it got pretty hard to boost up that high... How much can you boost before you experience knock on an STS? And what kind of 1/4 times can you get running pump gas? I saw a few guys were running 14 or so PSI of boost achieving about 640 rwhp. they just didn't specify whether they were running regular gasoline or not

You're going to need to run an intercooler if you wanna go wild with HP an try to mimic PurEvls #s. 
In Cali our gas really sucks. IMO if you wanna push the envelope, get a good intercooler AND methanol. The Meth will add octane and allow you to tune more agressively. Or just do the IC and have a second tune for race gas. If you're in the Norcal area there are plenty of places that sell it, including the 2 tracks in our area.

Boost is really a meaningless way to compare to setups, especially 2 different types of cars!
One guy on here changed his heads out and almost doubled the PSI, but made less power.
PSI really only means anything on your setup (i.e. when you turn it up).
