i got mine from speed inc. it seems to be popular.

the trade off is that it puts more strain on your fuel pump(s), and makes your fuel pump flow go down as the fuel pressure rises.. that and it is not a bolt on to the stock sytem.

We sell two regulators, Aeromotive and a 100% billet regulator. The Speed Inc. 100% billet one is the most popular. If you want to check it out heres a link. www.ls1speed.com

If you want the best get a Weldon. Expensive tho, and it's probably overkill.

I will be using a twin intank setup (2 GSS340s, one wired to a 5 psi hobbs switch). Do I need the regulator as well or should the twin pumps put out enough to keep the pressure steady?

The application is a 408 running 15-18psi intercooled and with meth injection.

You absolutely need a regulator be it stock or aftermarket. pump output can vary and the system needs a consistant pressure so that fuel is metered precisely.

the correct answer to your question is...... yo uneed the regulator up at the rails. The stock Reg is in the tank and does no good back there.... how does a FP regulator know what the fuel pressur eis at the rail if its in the back of the car in the tank??? answer... It doesnt... Dual 340 intanks should be enough. What Injectors??

Question Boosted apps...

The reason the reg on a boosted system has to be referenced is to retain base pressure setting when boost is applied to the spray end of the injector.

* [Some/ most N/A applications use a reference also, to lower the PSI, under idle and other hi vac/ low load situations.]
IE: Base setting is 43.5PSI, [what most injectors are flowed at], Boost is 20PSI... If the reg is not referenced, then net, [delta PSI], is 23.5PSI, and the inj flow drops dramatically. We all know what the results are!!

W/ the referenced reg, [assuming the pump[s] are sufficient], then the PSi is now 63.5PSI, and delta PSI is 43.5PSI.. The engine gets the fuel the injectors are rated at, and assuming the sizing was done correctly vs the FWHP, the engine is .

Back under my rock...

Ahh. Gotcha.

I'll be running 60# injectors.

Ya, moving the FPR to the rails helps prevent rail pressure drops and rising rate can help you get more out of your injectors. I don't like them with single walbro setups, but dual should be ok.

If so, BEGI makes several good ones (BEGI is Bell, as in Corky BEll, FI guru)
